Overview
Over the past 15 years, I have developed a wealth of experience leading and assisting a variety of events and projects. Having played leadership roles in all aspects of event management with a focus on endurance sports, arena and stadium events, I maintain an agile skill set that allows me to quickly learn and lead any event or project management role. I offer a creative, adaptable, responsive, and positive attitude to the teams I serve.
Meaningful Results
- Collaboratively spearheaded a new event format along with Director of Events, the USA Triathlon Multisport National Championships Festival, by merging 7 existing disciplines previously held at standalone events and launching 5 new races, all held at the same venue over 5 days of racing. The new combined event format resulted in many efficiencies for USA Triathlon: less travel costs for athletes, opportunity for athletes to race multiple races over one big weekend, larger audience for sponsors and partners to activate, and less travel for USA Triathlon staff.
- Created ‘Multisport Master’ award for the Multisport Festival, incentivizing athletes to participate in 5 or more races. Race entries increased 20% from 2022 to 2023 and over 10% across existing disciplines compared to when they were hosted separately.
- Devised enhanced qualification process for the Age Group Sprint-Distance National Championships resulting in doubled participation in 2021 as compared to 2019, additionally resulting in whole event sell out of 6,000+ participants from 2021 to 2023.
- Created entire physical branding and signage plan for inaugural PTO US Open in 2022 and 2023. Led design, printing, and installation process for over 3 miles of mesh fencing, over 1,500 feet of branding along waterfront and finish chute, finish line gantry, penalty board, and press, introduction, social media, and interview backdrops. Led branding strategy and install at all USAT-owned events.
- Led physical branding, signage planning, and in-event communications for all USA Triathlon national championships. Enhanced wayfinding and directional signage, led creation of new finish line gantry and chute that expanded opportunities for partner branding, and delivered a better on-site communications process by streamlining communications to the USAT events app and website.
- Led housing program with third-party housing companies for all USAT-owned events from 2015 to 2023. Increased hotel rebate revenue by over 100% between 2021 and 2023.
- During the pandemic, identified a comprehensive hybrid conference platform (Cvent) to conduct Endurance Exchange virtually for 2021 and 2022. Led the conceptualization, planning, and execution of virtual conferences, resulting in revenues 3 times expenses. 2021 and 2022 virtual conferences attracted over 1,000 attendees to view nearly 80 sessions with over 130 speakers.
- Led transition for Endurance Exchange conference from fully-virtual to a hybrid format (via Cvent) for 2023, offering an enhanced in-person experience with a comprehensive events app and over 40 sessions available to view on-demand post-event.
- Hired over 10 full-time direct reports from 2019 to 2023. Mentored and coached staff, allowing them to excel in their roles. Several staff received internal promotions and/or moved on to higher roles at other sport organizations.
- Events I led or played a leadership role in at USAT consistently resulted in 90% or more highly positive feedback from attendee reviews.
- Identified through participant surveys that most athletes did not need full meals after Sprint or Olympic-distance Nationals. Transitioned post-race food offering to a variety of healthy snacks, saving over 50% on food costs and reduction of food waste.
- Led Splash and Dash Youth Swim-Run Series from 2015 to 2023, a grassroots series focus on youth multisport participation, resulting in a 40% increase in events nationwide from 2015 to 2023.
- Led transition of USA Triathlon regional championships to state championships series, resulting in state championships in all 50 states that qualified for Sprint and Olympic-Distance National Championships.

- Ragnar Events, Field Operations Manager, 2024: operations and logistics for all of Ragnar's event equipment, semi-trailer fleet, and glamping, hiring and staffing of road crew roles, event venue operations, and the creation and implementation of standard operating procedures.
- COPACI Pan American Track Cycling Championships, 2024: Ground transportation lead for travel between airport, hotels, and race venue.

- USA Triathlon Duathlon National Championships, Course lead from 2016 to 2018; Lead Race Director from 2019 to 2021 (event merged with Multisport Festival in 2022)
- Legacy Triathlon, Long Beach, CA: Race Director for Venue and Course Operations, 2019 to 2023
- Various USA Triathlon Licensed National Championships: lead for all licensed events from 2015 to 2023 (Aquathlon, Aquabike, Long Course Triathlon/Duathlon/Aquabike, Winter Triathlon, Off-Road Triathlon, Gravel Triathlon). Worked closely with local race directors around the country to ensure national championship host-criteria were met and executed.
- World Triathlon World Cups, Paratriathlon Championship Series, and Continental Cups: Course lead (Sarasota, 2017 and 2018); Race Director for Venue and Course Operations (Long Beach, 2021 to 2023)
- Professional Triathlete Organisation (PTO) US Opens: Race Director for Venue and Course Operations, 2022 and 2023
- World Triathlon (ITU) World Championships: Course Assist, Chicago 2015; Venue Assist, Oklahoma City 2016
- Event Services Assistant and Dispatcher: all events at the 20,000 seat Jerome Schottenstein Center at Ohio State, 2011-2015 (men's and women's basketball, men's ice hockey, concerts, graduations, special events). Event manager for 2014 and 2015 Harlem Globetrotters.
- Event Services Assistant and Dispatcher for all concerts at the 105,000 seat Ohio Stadium in 2015: Buckeye Country Superfest and Rolling Stones
- Event Contractor at Ohio Stadium: Buckeye Country Superfest 2016, Taylor Swift Reputation Tour 2018
- Event Operations Manager for Elite Endeavors (now Run Toledo): all endurance events and triathlons in Northwest Ohio and Southern Michigan, 2008 to 2015. Events ranged from 100 to 1,000+ participants.
- Retail Operations Associate at Nationwide Arena from 2013-2015. Supported retail operations for NHL Columbus Blue Jackets games, concerts, and the 2015 NHL All-Star Game.
