The 2023 USA Triathlon Nationals and PTO (Professional Triathletes Organisation) US Open took place August 4-6, 2023 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The event attracted over 6,500 participants and 15,000+ specators over the three-day event on the beautiful Milwaukee lakefront. The weekend consisted of 14 different races including Sprint and Olympic-distance National Championships, Youth and Junior Draft-Legal National Championships, youth age group races, and the men's and women's PTO US Open. The US Open was televised worldwide and featured a $600,000 prize purse.
The LED finish gantry pops in the dark at 5:15 a.m. on race morning. This was the first time we ever rented an LED finish for a USA Triathlon national championship and it turned out great! The LED gantry was necessary due to three different race brands that we needed to switch between quickly in our tight race timeline (Sprint and Olympic-distance Nationals, PTO US Open, Zone3 Youth and Junior Nationals).
