I bring a diverse background of event management experience to all levels of events including sports organizations, arenas, stadiums, festivals, convention centers and more. I have had the pleasure of serving fans, athletes, spectators, donors and executives by producing meaningful and dynamic events. My previous roles have allowed me to pursue my passion for developing sporting events that provide pathways to healthy lifestyles and allow fans and spectators to support their favorite athletes or family members. As a triathlon race director, I have the unique opportunity to deliver both sides of an event: one as an event promoter; the other as an event venue, often building venues from the ground-up with no existing infrastructure. I am often challenged with producing a safe, fair, and memorable experience for our constituents while being creative, adaptable and strategic in building events and venues from scratch. That unique skillset is what sets me apart from other events leaders.
I believe in the power of sport. Sports have the unique ability to transcend social issues while also opening pathways to living healthy lifestyles. There are endless incredible athletes of all abilities and backgrounds who I’ve had the opportunity to support through planning large scale sporting events over the years. Planning multi-faceted, complex, and impactful events that are bigger than any one person motivates me to be great everyday. Producing pathways for athletes to achieve their goals is truly a privilege. Taking full ownership of the events I oversee allows me to do my best work.
As of April 2024, I serve as Field Operations Manager for Ragnar Events. Ragnar produces over two dozen annual running relays across the U.S. including 200-mile, 12-person team road relays and 120-mile, 8-person trail relays. As part of the operations leadership team, I oversee operations and logistics for all of Ragnar's event equipment, semi-trailer fleet, and glamping, hiring and staffing of road crew roles, event venue operations, and the creation and implementation of standard operating procedures.
From 2015 to 2023, I worked full-time in the events department at USA Triathlon, the National Governing Body for the sport of triathlon in the United States. I managed planning and execution of all USA Triathlon-owned national championships, World Triathlon Championships and Cups (in the U.S.), Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO) US Opens, Endurance Exchange, the premier endurance industry educational conference, virtual events, and local endurance events in Colorado Springs.
From 2010 to 2015, I worked at the Jerome Schottenstein Center event services department, the 20,000 seat arena for basketball, hockey, major concerts and special events on the campus of The Ohio State University. I assisted in planning and execution of 125+ events each year at the Schottenstein Center and concerts at the 100,000+ seat historic Ohio Stadium.
From 2002 to 2015, I worked with Elite Endeavors (now Run Toledo), a local endurance events organizer in Northwest Ohio and Southern Michigan. I oversaw venue operations and race execution for 12+ annual endurance events, including one of the oldest continuously occuring triathlons in the country, the Sylvania Triathlon.
